Full-time·Remote-friendly

Job description

  • Take charge of embedded‑hardware platform architecture design for the complete robot system, including MCU/MPU main‑controller selection, minimum‑system design (clock / reset / power‑supply monitoring / JTAG), storage expansion (Flash / SRAM / eMMC), and peripheral‑interface circuitry.
  • Design multi‑sensor‑fusion acquisition hardware systems, including analog‑front‑end (AFE) circuits for pressure sensors, IMU gyroscopes, force‑torque sensors and other devices. Complete signal conditioning (amplification / filtering / biasing), ADC acquisition and digital‑isolation design.
  • Develop hardware for communication interfaces: bus circuits for CAN / CAN FD, RS485, Ethernet, USB, SPI / I2C / UART, including level shifting, isolation protection, ESD protection and termination matching.
  • Complete schematic capture, BOM generation and PCB layout for sensor‑acquisition boards and main‑control boards. Key focus areas: analog‑ground / digital‑ground partitioning, high‑speed‑signal impedance control and crosstalk mitigation. Conduct hardware bring‑up and validation.
  • Perform hardware adaptation for low‑level embedded‑system BSP (Board‑Support Package). Collaborate with software engineers to debug peripheral drivers (e.g. ADC calibration, PWM timing, interrupt‑priority configuration, DMA‑transfer optimization).
  • Lead system‑level integration debugging for the full embedded platform: power‑on sequencing across multiple PCBA, reset synchronization and communication‑stability testing. Diagnose anomalies such as system crashes, communication bit‑errors and sensor‑data glitches, and produce hardware‑test specifications.
  • Track cutting‑edge embedded‑hardware technologies (e.g. RISC‑V, AI acceleration units, Time‑Sensitive Networking‑TSN) and drive iteration of next‑generation robot‑control platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Electronics, Computer Science, Automation, Communications or related disciplines. Minimum 3 years of embedded‑hardware‑development experience. Prior experience developing motherboards for robotics, autonomous driving or industrial control is preferred.
  • Possess at least two of the following embedded‑hardware competencies: ① Hands‑on design experience with mainstream MCU / MPU platforms (STM32 / NXP i.MX / Infineon / TI AM series). Familiar with component selection and routing for peripherals including DDR, Flash, crystal oscillators and PMICs. ② Mixed‑signal analog‑digital circuit design: differential‑signal conditioning, high‑precision 16‑bit+ ADC front‑ends, precision voltage references, anti‑aliasing filtering and low‑noise LDO power‑supply design. ③ High‑speed‑digital‑interface design and routing (10/100/1000‑Mbps Ethernet, USB 2.0/3.0, LVDS). Solid understanding of impedance control, timing margin and signal integrity. ④ Industrial‑field‑bus hardware design (isolated CAN / RS485, EtherCAT PHY and MAC‑layer interfaces); proficient in TVS and common‑mode‑choke component selection. ⑤ Embedded‑system low‑power design: multi‑stage sleep‑wake‑up schemes, peripheral clock gating and dynamic‑voltage‑regulation coordination. ⑥ Proficient with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and vector‑network analyzers. Able to independently analyze power‑on sequencing, communication eye diagrams, clock jitter and reset noise.
  • Skilled in schematic and PCB design using Cadence / Altium Designer. Proven experience designing high‑density high‑speed boards with 6 or more layers; familiarity with HDI manufacturing processes.
  • Able to read English‑language component datasheets, interpret timing diagrams and electrical‑parameter tables. Possess a driver‑developer mindset to support software‑team debugging activities.

Nice to have

  • Hardware‑adaptation experience for ROS / ROS 2; familiar with interface standards for common robotic sensors (Lidar, RGB‑D, IMU).
  • Understanding of embedded‑hardware requirements for functional‑safety standards (ISO 26262 / IEC 61508), e.g. watchdog timers, ECC, dual‑core lockstep.
  • Embedded‑Linux or RTOS hardware‑platform‑development experience (e.g. Device‑Tree configuration, peripheral‑driver debugging).
  • Experience designing compact, highly‑integrated SOM (System‑on‑Module) hardware modules.
