Product Director

Job description

  • Own the full‑lifecycle management of robotics products, covering market insight, requirement definition, product planning, go‑to‑market strategy, iteration and end‑of‑life, with overall accountability for commercial success of the products.
  • Lead product definition and differentiated competitive strategies. Combine technical capabilities and user scenarios to deliver Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and product roadmap planning.
  • Orchestrate cross‑functional resources including R&D, design, supply chain, marketing and sales to drive efficient product delivery from concept to mass production.
  • Continuously monitor robotics industry trends, competitor moves and user feedback. Iterate product portfolio and business models, and identify opportunities in emerging verticals.
  • Establish product management frameworks and data‑driven decision‑making mechanisms, and build a high‑performance product team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above. Majors in Robotics, Automation, Computer Science, Industrial Design, MBA or related fields are preferred. Minimum 10 years of product‑related experience, with 5+ years of product team management experience.
  • Proven track record of leading at least one hit mass‑produced product from 0‑to‑1 in robotics, smart hardware, consumer electronics or automotive industries.
  • Strong business acumen paired with solid technical literacy. Capable of aligning engineering and marketing stakeholders, and translating complex technologies into tangible user value.
  • Excellent cross‑functional leadership, logical analysis and decision‑making skills. Proven ability to define clear product boundaries amid ambiguous requirements.

Nice to have

  • Hands‑on product experience in humanoid robots, collaborative robotic arms or service robots.
  • Solid understanding of both B‑side and C‑side product logic, with insight into enterprise clients and end consumers.
  • Experience in product definition and global go‑to‑market for overseas markets.
  • Background in industrial design or Human‑Robot Interaction (HRI).
