Senior Joint‑Module Mechanical Design Engineer

Job description

  • Lead parameter calculation, structural design and life‑time verification for planetary gear reduction gearboxes of robot joint modules.
  • Participate in integrated matching design for motor‑reducer‑encoder‑load assemblies. Optimize joint‑module integration solutions balancing cosmetic requirements and performance targets.
  • Establish test standards and validation platforms for joint modules. Lead specialized tests covering vibration, abnormal noise, durability and efficiency; deliver test reports and continuous‑improvement proposals.
  • Iterate design parameters, material selections and manufacturing processes to improve product reliability and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, control and motor‑hardware engineers to deliver joint‑drive‑system prototype development, bench testing and mass‑production ramp‑up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Vehicle Engineering or related disciplines.
  • 1‑2 years of hands‑on experience in gear design or manufacturing; familiar with gear‑machining processes and heat‑treatment workflows.
  • Solid theoretical knowledge of gear design; proficient with industry calculation software including KISSsoft, Romax and MASTA.
  • Expert‑level command of at least one CAD / CAE tool (SolidWorks, ANSYS or equivalent).
  • Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause‑analysis capabilities. Able to independently resolve engineering issues such as vibration, abnormal noise, temperature rise and efficiency loss.
  • Leverage AI tools to boost engineering productivity; embrace an AI‑native working style.

Nice to have

  • Working experience in robot joint modules, automotive transmissions or industrial reducers.
  • Hands‑on experience with mass‑production mold development and process optimization.
